SCOTTISH UNIVERSITIES INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL (SUISS)
We are delighted to announce the 75th Anniversary of the Scottish Universities’ International Summer School (SUISS), which will run from the 11th July – 20th August 2022 at the University of Edinburgh. If you haven’t already, we would be very grateful if you could help circulate the attached poster to your colleagues and students.
We offer the following residential and online courses, which can be taken for university credits, and sought at undergraduate and postgraduate level: Creative Writing; Modernism, Contemporary Literature and Scottish Literature; and Contemporary British and Irish Theatre and Performance.
The courses are supplemented by a wide-ranging social and cultural programme, and will include readings by contemporary Scottish authors and performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Edinburgh is the first UNESCO World City of Literature and is home to highly acclaimed authors such as Ian Rankin, Irvine Welsh, Maggie O'Farrell and Alexander McCall Smith to name just a few.
Please note that if three students from the same university attend our courses, we will offer them a 20% discount off the course fee. For the latest information, please visit our website at http://www.suiss.ed.ac.uk. We also offer a wide range of full and partial scholarship opportunities.
Best wishes,
Dr Gina Gwenffrewi and Laura Muetzelfeldt
